Log in to the site www.musicexercisesgenerator.com, go to the Your profile section and update your information.
Yes, from the site: open Your profile and in the Your data section press Delete account. Access is blocked at once, any subscription is cancelled and after 30 days the data is erased for good; within those 30 days you can write to me at info@musicexercisesgenerator.com to restore it. Before that you can download all your data with Download my data.
You need to send an email to info@musicexercisesgenerator.com with the request to change the email address.
Log in to the site www.musicexercisesgenerator.com and in the Your profile section follow the guided procedure.
Credit or debit card: payments go through Stripe.
The PRO version is a yearly subscription: it renews by itself every year at the same price, with the card used for the purchase, and you get a reminder email 30 days before. You can cancel it whenever you like: on the site open Your profile and press Cancel subscription (or Manage next to Subscription). After you cancel, PRO stays active until the end of the period already paid and does not renew; you get a confirmation email. PRO obtained with a promo code is not a subscription: it does not renew and needs no cancelling.
Until 31 January 2027 the PRO version costs €9.90 a year. If you subscribe by that date, you keep this price at every renewal for as long as your subscription stays active. From 1 February 2027 the price for new subscribers will be €19.90 a year. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price in force at that time applies.
They stay saved in your account, together with playlists, progressions and progress: nothing is deleted. The account goes back to the FREE version: the app opens, your saved exercises open and you can keep generating and listening. When you renew PRO from your profile everything is as before.
Yes: within 14 days of buying or renewing the PRO version you can ask for a full refund by writing to me at info@musicexercisesgenerator.com from your account's email address. The amount goes back to the card you paid with and the account returns to the FREE version. It covers the PRO subscription, not credit packs or gifts.
The prices shown, €9.90 a year for the PRO version and €2.90 or €6.90 for the credit packs, are final prices: there are no other costs. VAT is not charged because the seller uses the Italian flat-rate tax scheme.
The FREE version is free and never expires: you generate and listen to every exercise with the accompaniment, and use all the theory. You can save:
- exercises on the major scale on a natural tonic (C, D, E, F, G, A, B)
- among chord progressions, those on the major II V I
- one exercise on a jazz standard
Generating, listening to and practising exercises is always free. Saving an exercise costs 1 credit, downloading the score as PDF, PNG, MusicXML or MIDI 1 credit, downloading the MP3 3 credits.
- Every month you get 100 credits, which do not roll over; in a licence year at most 300 are used.
- When they run out you can buy extra credits in the app, under “Credit balance”: 100 for €2.90 or 300 for €6.90. They stay while the licence is active.
- Downloads need a connection; saving also works offline and the credit is taken when the connection comes back.
If you register with email and password, type it in the "Promo code" field of the registration form. If you register with Google, enter it on the welcome page that appears right after. At any other time enter it from your profile on the site (the pencil next to the code) or in the app, under "Settings", at "Do you have a promo code?". A code can be used only once.
Yes: on the Give MEG page you buy one year of PRO for someone else for €9.90, with a one-off payment that does not renew. Choose whether the code reaches the recipient by email right away, on a day you pick (a birthday, Christmas) or only you, to hand it over in person. The recipient activates it within 12 months, also by signing up for free. The code cannot be used on an account that already has an active PRO subscription.
On a tablet in portrait, placed on the music stand in place of paper sheet music: the app is optimised for that, with the score at full width and the controls within reach of your fingers. It also works on computers and phones.
Yes. After you open it once with a connection, the app stays on your device and opens offline too: theory, generators, listening, and the exercises, playlists and progressions you have saved. You can also create and edit exercises: the changes are sent to your account by themselves when the connection comes back. Signing in, purchases, contacts, sharing and downloading PNG, PDF and MP3 need a connection.

Write to me at info@musicexercisesgenerator.com and tell me what happened: it helps me improve MEG. Thank you!
Five kinds: on a scale, on a chord progression (major and minor II V I, blues, Rhythm changes and more), on a turnaround, on a jazz standard from the catalogue and on a progression you write yourself. On progressions and standards you choose what to play: roots, guide tones, arpeggios, cells, scales and scale patterns, a walking bass line or a written solo. You find them in the app menu under Create exercise.
In the menu open "Create exercise" and choose "On a scale", then
- 1. Choose the scale
- 2. Choose the tonic
- 3. Choose the pattern that shapes your exercise
- 4. Choose the slurs
- 5. Choose the range: one or more octaves and the direction, or your instrument
- 6. Listen to the exercise, give it a title and save it
In the menu open "Create exercise" and choose "On a chord progression" or "On a turnaround". In six steps, as in the scale generator, you choose the progression, the key, the material to play on each chord (roots, guide tones, arpeggios, cells, scales, scale patterns), an optional chromatic approach, the harmonic rhythm, the path through the keys and the range, standard or that of sax, clarinet, flute and trumpet: from the second step a preview shows the score while you choose.
Yes. In "Create exercise" choose "On my own progression": you write your chords bar by bar, as on a lead sheet (up to 32 bars in four-four, one or two chords per bar), and generate exercises on them with the same controls as the catalogue progressions. The scale for each chord is suggested automatically and you can change it.
It is a neighbour note placed before each note of the material: from below (a semitone below), from above (the scale note above) or an enclosure (above and then below). It applies to roots, guide tones and arpeggios.
Yes. "Play" starts the exercise line together with double bass, piano and drums. You can switch each part on and off (for example switch off the line and play it yourself), adjust the volumes, turn swing on or off, loop the exercise and have a count-in bar.
Yes. In saved scale exercises you can move the score an octave up or down. If you play a B♭, E♭ or F instrument (the horn), choose the transposing instrument in Settings: the score stays written for your instrument and playback is at concert pitch. In the chord-progression generators, the key you hear is written in small type under each key.
Open the exercise, set the metronome to the speed you play it at and press "Save". Every saved speed stays in the history and the "Your progress" chart shows the starting speed, the current one and the difference.
Coloured tags keep your archive in order: assign them to exercises and filter the list in "My exercises" by one or more tags. In the notes you write your own practice notes on each exercise.
They group exercises on scales and on chord progressions, for example a warm-up sequence: from the playlist detail you reorder them and read them one after another.
They are ready-made playlists in four levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Pro. 26 playlists and 186 exercises in all, on scales and chord progressions, from the major scale to your first standards. In the app open "Paths", choose the starting key and press "Add to mine": the playlist becomes yours, you can change it and track your progress. With the FREE version you can browse the paths; adding them needs the PRO version.
Yes, to another MEG user you are in contact with. In "My exercises" press the "Share" icon on the exercise, pick one or more contacts and press "Send"; a whole playlist can be sent the same way. The other person finds it under "Contacts" and, by accepting, gets a copy: tempos, notes and later changes stay yours. Sending requires the PRO version; with the FREE version you can receive, and some received exercises only open after upgrading to PRO.
In the app menu open "Contacts", type the email the other person uses for MEG and press "Invite". They do not get an email: they find the invitation when they open the app, flagged by the bell, and can accept or decline it. Either of you can remove the contact at any time.
Yes, with the PRO version: on the exercise page the "Export" button downloads the score as PDF or PNG, as MusicXML for notation programs (MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale…) or as MIDI.
Italian, English, French, Spanish and German: you choose the language in the app Settings.
In the app, under "Help": seven searchable guides explain the generators, playback, the archive, contacts and the theory section step by step.
